Summit E-420 VS Genesis E-310?

Doing some research for a new gasser.

Both of these look like really nice units.

However, I prefer the front-mounted valves like on the summit - plus, I surmise that four short burners may be more versatile than three long ones.

Anybody out there have the 4-burner Summit? If so, what do you think?

Also looking at MHP and Broil Master (Broil Master has height-adjustable grates that are similar to my Sterling.)

Hi Ron
I have a Summitt S-450 and it is great for indirect heat, just turn off 2 burners on side, and let it go.

Ron,if the $ had been right,I would have bought the Summit. But the Genesis is an amazing grill too. If you have the cash,go for it! If not,you still have a great grill.

I've had Genesii since I bought a Genesis 3 when they were first created. My brother has a Summit.

If I could find a good deal on a used Summit, I'd buy it. I think the front/back burner orientation gives much better control over indirect cooking.

Plus, I do a lot with a Weber cast iron griddle/grill pan that fits in place of one of the Genesis cooking grates. The problem is that to get full heat on the griddle, I have to fire up the entire grill. With a Summit, I could just fire up the burners under the griddle.
