Well, after getting some time on this beast I'm giving a turkey a spin. Smells AMAZING with the smoke box going and cooking bacon on the 420 summit right next to it!

Wow that is a lot of Summit action! What is your procedure with the burners. I usually cook with all 4 of my burners set to medium and only use the rotisserie burner for about the last 30 minutes or so to really crisp it up. If I use just the roti burner I am afraid the outside will burn before the inside is done.

When I spin on the Wolf, I only use the 2 outer most burners one is used for a smoke packet as well as heat the other just some heat. I just keep the rear burner going full blast the whole cook. Though the Wolf is quite a bit taller and larger than a Summit, making the food a little further from the burner. I have done large stuff like turkeys though I don't like turkey. I have to do it for others LOL.
I have been able to do as many as 2 turkeys at a time or 3 chickens easily.

Well this is my first try, but my method is to use the IR burner for the first 30 minutes to get a head start on the skin. I then have been using the #5 and #6 burners on medium to keep the temp around 350 or so. I also used the smoke box with some hickory chips in it to get a little extra flavor. And besides, it smells amazing when I do 😂 I refilled the chips 3 times, setting that on high to get them smoking and then turning it to low or even off as the #6 burner seems to keep it smoking still as well. It's nearly done at this point, getting close!

And yes, it sure is a lot of summit action 😆
Best part is they were both free! I use them frequently, and will have both going and even the performer all at the same time at least once a week. Family day happens weekly for us, usually 12 or so people
