Stokerlog Keep Warm Function

Amir,

I attempted to use the keep warm function for the first time this weekend and it doesn't appear to be working for me. I set the target temp for a brisket to 180 deg and went of to my kids softball game. When I returned home the meat temp was 190 deg and the smoker was still chugging along at 250 deg. Am I doing something wrong or does this not really work yet?

I just tested it in simulation mode and it worked. Did you by any chance save the screen snapshot?

The key to it working is the Target Fire/Control temp being gray (i.e. not letting you change it). And it changing to a lower number as soon as your food hits the target.

So try it in simulation mode now and see if you see the above behaviour.

Amir,

Thanks for the quick reply. It turns out the problem was operator malfunction. I checked the checkbox next to the "Graph Stability" area but neglected to pick the dot across from the meat temperature area.

I assume all will work well now that I realize I need to check two boxes in order to get it to work. I didn't pay attention to the second one as I was only using one temperature probe.

Thanks for helping.

Good deal. Saved me a lot of debugging time. The mechanism seems simple but took fair bit of code to get it right....
