Stoker, remote access and ports

I am setting up the Stoker and Stokerlog and have 2 questions, perhaps one of you guy's can help me.
1) can Stokerlog be remotely accessed or only thru a program like Logmein or VNC ?
2) in the Stokerlog help file it says that next to the IP address you also can specify a port, will this update the Stoker or do you have to do the same in the Stoker menu ? I hate to open up port 80 permanently.

On your second question, no, stokerlog does nothing to stoker. I also don't think you can change the port number on stoker.

That feature was put in by request in the case where someone was remapping the stoker HTTP port using their router. At least that is what I recall.

Be sure to also check "HTTP only" when you try to use stokerlog remotely. As otherwise, you also need open the Telnet port.
