Stationary cart for the Q200 missing axle.

Hello,
I finally got around to getting the stationary cart for my Q200. It was on deep discount as it's been discontinued, so I just couldn't say no. It was still NIB and everything, but there is a part missing. Specifically, the axle for the wheels. I called Weber. They don't have that part available separately in their system. The CS agent I talked to is going to look into the matter more for me, but if anyone out there has one of these carts and can measure the diameter and length of the axle rod, I can probably just get some bar stock and make my own.

It's my only gasser and I don't travel with it, so the stationary cart is the way to go IMO... but I don't want to cook on it until I know it can sit level and stable.

Thanks!

I measured the axle part to my OTG, and it was 3/8" wide. That also about exactly is the size of the holes that the bar is supposed to pass through. I'll wait and see what Weber CS says, and if all else fails I'll head to Lowe's for some round stock.

This was the permanent style stand, not the foldable 6549. It was bought at a retail store, receipt and all.

They sent me a 6549 as a replacement, which is not really what I wanted, so off to Lowes I went.

Long story short, I should've just relied on my fixit myself personality instead of getting Weber involved, as the 3/8" rod was perfect. I used plated steel. On the upside, now I also have a cart I can use while tailgating, but I generally bring my SJP or SJS depending on size of group. I genuinely prefer charcoal in every situation, except where super pressed for time.
