Starting a fire

I belong to a forum on wood burning stoves - hearth.com. A great resource if you burn a wood stove. Folks on that forum touted SuperCedar as a great stove starter. It's a mix of paraffin and cedar designed for chefs. I got a free sample (just contact the owner) and, after trying them, requested that my son get me a box for Christmas. 1/4 of a starter is good for a wood burning stove. I tried it last night for starting a charcoal chimney for grilling some ribs. Much better than any other method for starting charcoal! I break them into quarters still wrapped on a sharp edge of a desk and then open the wrapper in a plastic bag. Highly recommended product. Here's the link: http://www.supercedar.com/

Thanks for the forum information on wood stoves. We use a pellet stove to heat our house and I think there will be some info we can use.
