Spicy Chipotle Baked Beans

Spicy Chipotle Baked Beans

6 Cups white navy beans; cooked, cooled and drained
18 slices bacon; cut in 1/2 inch strips
5 tsps garlic granulated
1 sweet red onion; finely chopped
4 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
3/4 cups brown sugar
5 ounces worcestershire sauce
6 ounces tomato ketchup
6-7 Chipotle chile pods
Salt and pepper to taste

In a pot, cook the bacon until it starts to brown, add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent. Add mustard, brown sugar and worcestershire sauce and cook for 3 minutes. Add the ketchup, chipotles and tongues of fire beans. Bring to a boil and correct the seasonings.
Cover the pot and place in an oven set at 325 for 1 1/4 hours
