Oh I just found the perfect drink for me. No, not because of the name, ( :giggle: ) but, because I really like Ginger Beer!!!!!!! Also, in the same magazine, they said this about CRANBERRIES! "In a new study, participants who consumed cranberries every day for a month showed significant improvements in cardiovascular health."

Spice Girl

FOR THE SYRUP
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
1 cup cranberries
1 TB. allspice berries
2 cinnamon sticks
Peel from 1 orange

FOR THE DRINK
6 oz. ginger beer
Cranberries, for garnish

1. Make the syrup: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the sugar, and the rest of the ingredients and bring to a low boil. Once boiling, turn down the heat and let simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
2. Using a strainer, strain the mixture into a resealable container. Use a spoon to press the juice out of the cranberries and then discard the solids. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
3. Make the drink: In a highball glass filled with ice, add the ginger beer and 1 oz. cranberry syrup. Stir to combine and garnish with cranberries.
