Some good that sale did me...

I tell my wife that the Smoke is on sale today, for one day only, and we discuss the purchase (which we always do for anything over $50.) She says sure, she thinks it will be useful and 25% off is a good deal.

So far so good.

THEN she says: "you know, I was looking at the brochure they sent with the Thermapen you ordered, and I really think we should get one of their forehead thermometers. It would make taking temps so much easier, and we wouldn't be worried about sterilization and germ sharing."

The net result is that I ended up spending MORE than I would have if I'd just ordered the Smoke at full retail.

And I'm sure they knew it all along.
