Anyone ever use 13 Flavorizer Bars in a 5 Bar Firebox?

Does that mean the grates and lid off an older 1000 or similar also won't fit?

Apparently the lids and grates fit.

The firebox on the 1000 is substantially deeper than the B and C models. But I think the other dimensions are the same.
