So tonight I was using my heatermeter for my first late night cook and of course the alarm goes off that my pork butts have hit their temperature where I need to foil them and the buzzer wakes up my wife which didnt make her very happy. I searched the forum and google and was wondering iof there is a way to program the buzzer to not ring and just trigger an email and SMS instead. I'd prefer not to cut the buzzer off.

Does this disable the alarm or just silence the buzzer? Unfortunately I'm not in a position to test as if it fails my wife will get woken up again and will be angry lol. Might just have to get up periodically and check it then test out during the day.

If you're using the latest version, just set the alarm action to "Silence", which will auto-silence the alarm. It will make a quick chirp when the alarm rings but it won't beep beep beep.
