I appear to be having a similar situation as noted here but I do not see where a solution was found in that thread.
My damper opens or closes ok (seems to anyway) but when fully closed it gives a constant whine. I tried some of the steps that Bryan mentioned in it.
- Taking lid off - there is no whine at all.
- buffed both the lid and the casing - no change.
- attached the lid very, very incrementally to the point where the servo is just barely able to grip and move it - no change.
- when it is whining - if I nudge the damper lid slightly the whining will usually stop - but when you open and close the damper again - whine resumes.
my Cable is 31" long end to end.
Any ideas?
