Rotisserie Skewer Pitting

I recently received a rotisserie for my grill and it has rusty pitting on it. Is there anyway to repair this? I cleaned the rust off with bar keepers but the pitting is there and I assume its just going to keep rusting. If it does not pose a health concern I do not mind leaving it but I was not sure what I should do. IMG_20210625_103756.jpg

It's normal. I would worry more about any chemicals in BKF than this. It's just more iron in your diet LOL

Of course you could buy a REALLY expensive grill with a stainless steel skewer like my Wolf. Or maybe buy a piece of 304ss rod and make one

That is why I bought a OneGrill rotisserie to start with. It came with a 3/8” 304 stainless steel rod to begin with and it was not that much more than those with the nonstainless rods. They do want a lot for just the rod though.

Looks like the plating was hit or miss on it, clean and oil after every use like it was plain steel to keep the rust away imo
