Has anyone installed/modded the 18"? I have been wanting to rotisserie on my 18" but everything I see is for the 22.5". Any ideas or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan

there have been discussions/pics. search for it.
i searched a little and couldn't find it. but you can take the same 22in info and apply that, to a point. you will be restricted to forks most likely due to space. but not to worry as on two german sites they use the standard rotiss and forks a lot ! you could build a extension or just cut into the wsm body. but really, getting a cheap used kettle might be a better option. look on craigs list.

No I'm pretty sure the first one pictured is the 18" look at the straight legs, wooden handle and no thermo. The 22" have the angled legs like the last pic.

That's kind of what I was curious about. What would fit on the 18? I was gonna slot the top of my middle section with a cutoff wheel and mount the essentials for the rotisserie. Didn't know if this would have an adverse effect on the smoker to perform as a smoker. Was hoping to get at least to young whole fryer's on the spit to fit.

Thanks for your post.

I mounted my kettle rotisserie to my UDS. That way I didn't have to modify my WSM in any way shape or form.
