Rotisserie Kit, no counterweight?

I made a rotisserie ring for my 26.75 kettle so went shopping for a Weber rostisserie kit. Apparently none of them other than the 22" ketttle kit are coming with adjustable counterweights. Does anybody know why they dropped at feature.

I rarely, if ever, used the counterweight that came with my rotiss. Most items I rack balance well for the most part anyway.
 
after seeing how the motor is built i use the weight every time. has a plastic gear in there, at least the weber motors do. try and get that replaced ! plus these motors are not that cheap.
