I too have given up on the E-Z Que people. I'm looking for alternatives to the standard Weber spit rod on my 22.5" OT Platinum. I have the four prong forks and they work fairly well, but I'd like to have something more secure. Are there any alternatives to the E-Z Que 8" baskets?

Thanks

These are the only things I've seen that that we can fit on the spit rod.

But upon closer inspection the round basket is no longer available here.

I have a Char-Broil rectangular basket and it works great for thighs, wings, legs, sausages etc. I suppose you could split a bird and it might fit. @ $8-9 at Lowes.

I'm still hot on the Rib-O-Lator and glad I was able to score an 8" EZ-Que cradle, any one of these just up the game with a kettle.

i would keep looking on ebay, etc. saw a 17.5x8 there but it went quickly. this assumes you have a ring or can make one. why do you say the rotis is not secure ?

The 4 prong forks work fairly well, even on turkeys. I like the baskets because then I don't have to truss up the bird. That's all. Call it laziness

I'll keep an eye on Ebay. Thanks for the tip!
