Ripe Olive Beef Loaf

This was dinner last night. We both enjoyed it very much.

Ripe Olive Beef Loaf

1 lb. ground beef
1 (8oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/2 cup sliced ripe olives
1/2 cup fine chopped onions
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
1 tsp. dried basil
salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste

1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease an 8 x 4" loaf pan
2. Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl. Transfer to loaf pan.
3. Bake 40 minutes or until instant-read thermometer inserted in center reads 165 degrees. Let stand in pan 10 minutes before serving. Makes 4 servings
