I am cleaning an one touch gold from top to bottom and need to remove the control rod. I have twisted and pulled on the rod and cannot get it out. It is not rusted and I can move it some but cannot get it out to release the one touch system.
any help or tricks would be appreciated
I got it off after searching the forum I found a few threads addressing this problem. My one touch system is the H type. The recommendations were in two camps 1 wedge screwdriver under the lever and pull it out. 2 squeeze the h a bit and pull it out
Well I used a combination of these two. It seems that the rod needs to be rotated 180 degrees before it will come out. With a bit of time and screwdriver and a pair of small vice grips I got it turned and all came out with no more problems
