After I started the Q300 last weekend, the flames were shooting high (some went above the grates) and they were red/orange in color. I did not see flames on parts of the burners either. I turned both burners to low for about 10 minutes before the flames got smaller and mostly blue again. Does this mean the burners need cleaning? Thanks.

You might want to check the bowl for built up stuff.
