Quickdraw Sauerkraut
"This pan-seared substitute is as good as the real thing and only takes 15 minutes to cook."
1 Savoy cabbage, rinsed, cored and quartered
2 TB. canola oil
1 TB. mustard seeds
1 tsp. caraway seeds
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
3/4 cup German beer
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 TB. brown sugar
1. Add oil to a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Drop in cabbage and saute for a few minute until the greens have wilted slightly.
3. Add remaining ingredients to the pan and cook until the liquid has reduced by about half. The cabbage should be tender but maintain its signature crunch.
