Question on lid

I set my lid on level ground and noticed that it is not completely flat. A little bit of bow in middle to where it leaves a little gap on one side between lid and ground.

Anyone have this experience as well? Is this normal or I assume the lid should be completely flat?

It seems to fit fine on the kettle bowl itself so not sure if big deal or not. Thanks

As long as it fits well on the kettle you should be fine.
You may check to see if you have any smoke coming out
where the lid meets the bowl.
FYI..... try to avoid putting your lid on the ground. You don't
want to damage the porcelain.
