My wife and I have been finding more and more canned goods that have a pull ring tab to open them, and have been also finding those pull rings not quite as easy to pull as they used to be. We started looking at one of those J-hook shaped tools on Amazon to help us open such cans, but noted that many of them had negative comments, particularly about getting the tool initially under the pull ring. During our search, we came across a Dext ring pull can opener (https://www.amazon.com/Seniors-Parkinsons-Gadgets-Arthritis-gadgets/dp/B0CP4J34VK/?tag=tvwb-20). This opener works great, and we find ourselves using it on all sorts of these types of cans. Saves our fingers and our fingernails. Just wanted to pass along a simple, but effective kitchen tool. We did also get a metal tool with the same hook profile, but it just doesn't work as well as the Dext tool.
