I have been wanting to post this recipe for some time now, but it made a LOT of sauce. Then I came across an old article that listed a few suggestions on what to do with left over BBQ sauce. Will post after the bbq recipe. lol

Pride of Deer Camp Barbecue Sauce

1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
1 1/2 cups Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 cups prepared mustard
1 qt. ketchup
1/2 cup freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup crushed red pepper flakes (or to your liking)
3 qts. red wine vinegar
2 qts. water
1 qt. white wine
1 1/2 cups salt (or to your liking)

Place all the ingredients in a 12 quart stainless steel pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a low simmer, cover and cook for 30 minutes. Store, covered, in glass canning jars in the refrigerator.
Note: Suggested uses include a marinade sauce and a barbecue sauce. Also good in Bloody Marys. Makes 2 gallons

Here are more suggestions on using up BBQ sauce. Sorry, don't have source.

1. Pour over scrambled eggs for a morning pick-me-up.
2.Thin with vegetable broth and use as a salad dressing.
3. Use as a dip for crudites.
4. Spread like mayonnaise in a wrap or on a sandwich.
5. Ladle on a bare pizza crust.
6. Toss with hot noodles and sliced vegetables for a twist on pasta salad.
7. Use in a stir-fry as part of the sauce.
8. Brush on oven roasts during the last 20 minutes of cooking.
