In Chicago, the 3rd coldest city in the country behind Minneapolis and Milwaukee, St. Paddy's Day is
taken very seriously or with a grain of salt depending upon your point of view. The Chicago River is
dyed a shade of shamrock green to help the fish to celebrate, and those who are "swimming with the fishes".
To start the day off in the intended spirit, try this for breakfast.

Start with a bakery fresh bun or roll sliced. Add a generous layer of Vienna (Chicago again) corned beef, a slice
of your favorite cheese, a scrambled egg and a slice or two of bacon to top the egg, and add the top of the bun.
You may add whichever condiments you think may be necessary, but none are really needed. If you are going to
work, a mug of Green River to drink, or if you are fortunate enough to be retired a mug of Goose Island with a little
green food coloring is an excellent way to start the day.

With only 19 days until March 17th you have plenty of days to practice until you get it just right.

MMMMMMM, Vienna. Sounds like a great breakfast sammy Bob. I'll be doing the parade in downtown Chicago this yr. and this sounds like a yummy way to start the day. Slainte'
