Pizza Steel on Weber Q 1200 or 2200

Hey all,

I cannot seem to find the ACTUAL dimensions of the grills on the Q1200 or Q2200. Reason I am asking is I want to pick up one or the other, and I am wondering if my 15" pizza steel I use for smashburgers, fish etc, will fit on either (both) with the lid closed.

Does anyone have actual dimensions, at the deepest part of the grill?

Grant, the Q2200 grate is 15 1/4” front to back.

Thank you!! That could be pretty well perfect for the 15" grilling steel....enough gap on the ends to the grill should not overheat underneath....I am hoping when I go to pick up my new Summit S6, they will cut me a better deal on the Q....

Yeah, if my pizza stone is 15” I will place it on the grates and take a pic for you.
