Performer Table Scratched to Heck

I purchased a green DR performer off of CL the other night. Kettle is perfect, frame has some dings and the table is scratched to heck. Has anyone had any luck getting scratches out of these tables?

If you have no luck with the scratches, I think the table would look good with a nice laminate overlay, or maybe oiled wood, or polished aluminum.

Thank you Bob....I don't have a lot of tools to do such work, but I've got time to figure it out. I often told the lady of the house that there is only one grill on my patio that is safe and that is the first performer that I purchased new (at half off the regular sale price). The others will come and go, this performer will replace an older model performer that will soon go on CL. The only reason I purchase the most recent performer is because it is green. Now if I can snag a red performer on CL, then the green performer will be going up for sale.
