Performer outside finish flaking off??

I have a one year old Performer (in blue), and the outside finish is starting to flake off around the kettle cover holder... It started real small and didn't bother me at all, but last night a piece about the size of a dime fell off... It's happening around the connection between the kettle bowl and the cover holder. I hear this coating isn't paint but a baked enamel. Any idea why it's already falling off? The grill gets a lot of use (4 times a week), but is covered when not in use and never transported around. Am I being overly picky with this? Is this normal wear/tear, or should I contact Weber? Pics at the link below...

I would contact Weber. No idea why it is happening. No you are not being picky about this, especially what we paid for it.
 
Not being picky, not normal wear. Send your pics to Weber along with approximate date of purchase, date code on the damper (two letters), and address, and they'll send you a new bowl. Finish is warranteed for 10 years I believe (don't have a manual nearby). A few of us have had similar issues, see link below for one recent thread.
