Performer gas assist leak?

Was wondering if anyone else experienced same problem. I have a new Performer Platinum and have been going through propane bottles like crazy.I only use the gas assist for a few minutes to get the coals started.Did the soap test at the orifice that feeds the burner tube and it seems the regulator is faulty and letting gas through even when the knob is off.Weber is sending me a new assembly so I hope that takes care of the problem.Overall it is a fantastic grill,the gasser has cobwebs !!

Yes, that is a great grill you have. You have to be careful and not shut it off too hard, I seem to remember reading that in the owner's manual.
