I have an issue with my performer deluxe that I am hoping someone else has encountered and rectified. My gas assist is inop; in that whether I connect a hose and 20# canister or a green 1# bomb I get no gas through to the grill. One day it worked 10/10 and the next... nothing. Any ideas from those that may have some insight please? Thank you.

How old is it? Have you checked the tube for blockage like from a bug?

Yes.... I had cleaned the burner and the small orifice in the burner end of the hose between the valve and the burner. To be doubly sure I just re-checked it all.
Probably the regulator.

Beginning to believe that. Took off the hose and can blow through it. Can see clearly through the burner. With JUST the regulator attached to propane no gas is emitted when I open the valve.Probably the regulator.

I just had the same problem. I finally determined that it must be the regulator. I ordered a new one from Amazon and it arrived a few days ago. I removed the old one yesterday and installed the new one, and presto, problem solved!
