what does aluminized steel really mean ? is it to slow down rust ? if it rusts then what is going on ? i took the system out of my 2008 $10 18.5 in kettle. was happy to find the system better than it looked. cleaned the ot blades off but found sections of rust. not bad enough to worry about. funny that the worst rust was on the bottom side away from the ash side. just wondering.

yea, i later looked up the meaning(duh)and found several explanations. so far i'm thinking the weber ones are not done that well if they rust/corrode after several years. or 'am i off base ?
