Old Weber E-210 with horizontal gas burners

I acquired a Weber Spirit E-210 (3711174) from eBay a few weeks ago as it was fairly cheap. I wanted a gas grill for those quick and easy cooks.

It appears my version is the old one with horizontal burners, which makes zonal cooking a little trickier. I understand the newer ones are split vertically making the cooking area 'left and right'...

Anyone know of any mods/methods of improving this? or am I just overthinking this?

You're over thinking it. The grill you have is FAR better and FAR more versatile than the POJ Weber is foisting off. Once you learn just how great the older product is and actually use it you'll understand
