I have been lurking on here for the last few months, ever since my wife bought me a new Performer when they went on sale at Home Depot as an early Father's Day gift. (She the best ever)

Well, I've got the bug and started looking to collect. I think I have the best start to a collection a guy could find.

I posted an ad on Kijiji.ca (more popular than CL up here) looking for Weber Kettles.

A great man responded and let me know that he had a few he was looking to get rid of. He was only using the ones that he found at the dump for grills for his UDS builds.

I bought an 18.5 OTS, a 22.5 OTS that is a little mix and match, and the gem a Code A Red 3 Wheel 22.5.

Here are the pictures. All I did was wipe it out and buy new Charcoal and Cooking grills.

I should mention that for all 3 I paid $80. I plan on doing some work to the 2 OTS's. I will convert them to OTG's this summer. The 18.5 will go camping with us and the 22.5 black will go one the deck beside the performer.

I am still trying to decide whether I'm going to cook on the red one. It's just too clean and good looking.

Very nice! Its looks in great shape daisy wheels and all. You can use some high heat red paint engine spray paint for spots around the handle. Search the threads on rehabs. Congrats.

One last thing, if you want it to sparkle and literally get a brighter shade of red clean the outside with some water and dish soap, after you hose it down and take some 0000 steel wool and clean the exterior with only water after the dish soap. The wool will take away all of the oxidation. I did it on mine and it looked totally diferent. I you choose to do it post before and after pictures. Here is my clean up. You cam get the 0000 wool at home depot.

LUCKY!!!!

I would love to find a pre 1981 Redhead in that condition. Sweet score!! I say cook on it. And watch the magical transformation from red to burgundy.
