New Type Grill Cover

My cookers sit outside & I use grill cover to protect from the rain & sun.
In the Mississippi sun 2-3 years is all you get from a cover.
Bought a " Classic Accessories " cover as a Amazon lighting deal for $22. To cover my new to me Genesis.
To my surprise it's made from a thin polyester material just like tent material ?
Looks & fits fine, even has a stuff bag for storage , just hoping it will survive the sun!

Similar problem here in Florida in that a grill cover doesn't last all that long in the sun. My Genesis cover is toast and I'm just waiting for my Performer cover to end up looking like the Genesis cover. The last time I was in Home Depot, I noticed that Weber has replaced the vinyl / canvas material with the thin tent like material that you describe with your cover.

I purchased a Kamado Joe Big Joe and they gave me a cover that is also made of the tent like material. I've had the cover on there now for a little over a year. The rich black color has now started to develop a hint of grey and the red KJ logo emblazoned across the front has faded as well.
