saw the new type yesterday. have to say I was not impressed by the fit.
could be there were issues. how is it with folks that do have the new style ?

Mine fits nice. No gaps at all.

Haven't used much this winter. Waiting for the weather to get a little nicer.

I use my ceramic mostly through winter.

My Weber roti fits snug, no air leaks.

The new style roti ring (no tabs) fits great in most of my kettles - nice and tight with no leaks. It doesn't fit well in the two MBH kettles I have, as they seem to have a bit more curvature near the top, so the roti can't fit in deeply.

I got the "new" style roti a cple of weeks ago, the fit is spot on mine!

Mine does not fit well - it sits on tabs and has a gap all the way around where the roti ring sits on the bowl of my OTG. So far I have used it exclusively for high heat indirect grilling so that has not been an issue. If I ever want to couple it with a low and slow smoke session, I will have to plug that gap with foil or something which will be a PITA. I have heard the the Cajun Cooker roti ring fits much more snugly...
