New regulator already...

Hola everyone

Had a bbq yesterday and noticed the propane regulator leaking gas. I turned off the grill and called Weber ...turns out the regulator is not covered under warranty. The Genesis is lil over 2 years old. Anyone have same problem? Customer service stated its probably the tank so I switched tanks and same ol leak. I grill all year round is the regulator prone to damage due to weather?

That really doesn't make sense. The regulator would leak if it's not sealed properly. Doesn't matter where the gas is coming from. Are you sure it's not leaking from the tank connection? Check it by brushing soapy water on it while your using it. If you see bubbles there's a leak.

As far as the regulator mine lasted about 20 years before it started to leak.
