New Grate and Hanger

Hi,

I've never made any modifications to my WSM, so I apologize if these questions are a bit simple or common.

I'd like to add another cooking grate to my 22". It appears that the distance between the two existing grates is 9". That would suggest that the new great going between them at a 4.5" difference.

Is that accurate?

I also have the Smoke EZ conversion kit. I was thinking of using the hanger attachment on the 22" WSM to hang ribs or briskets. Has anyone done anything similar? What were your results?

Thanks!

Eric

Mark,

Thanks for the reply! I'm going to give the hanger a try and see how it works. We have a people's choice rib contest coming up around here next month and that's a great opportunity to push capacity.

If it works well, I might want another one, but stopping by and getting your extra might not work so well when you're in California and I'm in New York. : )

Thanks anyway!

Have you tried hanging meat in the WSM and not been happy with the results?

Eric, never met a meat I didn't like. Now why on earth would I want to HANG it. No, never have, I have not seen the need to this point.
The hanger is pretty lite. Pay shipping and it's yours.
