i finally got to see my neighbors weber gasser. it was given to him by a old neighbor of his. has had it for a long time and never used it. so what i see is a genesis junior. not in bad shape considering. was in a rush so i didn't spend a lot of time looking at it and told him i would research it. when i started lookin up things i realized that i'm sure its a natural gas model. so not sure what it would take to change over to propane. also all the baffles are gone. so i guess i got to convince him to spend some bucks to get it it up and running.

George - I saw over on one of the other lists that perhaps the local gas company can do the conversion - might be worth a try. IF he doesn't want it, I'll take it! Crate it up and throw it on the back of a truck to Bham!

The Junior is on my list of grills that I want but I've only seen one and it was in Illinois - I was seriously thinking about taking a road trip to pick it up!

the funny thing is that he was gonna give it to me. but then he cleaned it up and saw it was in better shape than he thought. he apologized for changing his mind but i actually was happier that he was gonna keep it. i have a red gasser i'm fixing up already and don't really need another. charcoal rules !!

From all the reading I've done on NG->LP conversions - the only thing that needs to be replaced is the manifold and you have to add a hose and regulator.

Head over to weber's site and compare the schematics and see if there are any different parts.
