Need advice

Need advice based on my current situation Just ordered a Black Genesis E330. I'm getting it FREE because of a contest at my job. I've been reading many a post on here about SS vs PCI grates & bars. Based on my own experience and aesthetic looks I know I'd rather have SS. Here's my question: 1) keep the PCI and use them for a few years then buy SS (rcplanebuyer) or 2) sell my new PCI grate and bars (eBay/CL/here) and put that money towards buying SS now. What would you do?

How much could I get for the PCI grates and bars?
I've read that Weber recommends 7mm for their SS grates for quicker heat retention but Rcplanebuyer is saying he offers 9.6mm. Is thicker better? Will the 9.6mm heat up quickly?

I'm the type of guy that is willing to pay for quality and would rather do it right the first time but part of me feels foolish for spending unnecessary money now on the SS...then again, I'm getting the 330 for free.

Everyone has there own preference. Stainless will only look pretty until you turn the gas on the first time. If it were me. I would get Craycort cast iron grates, no porcelain. Keep them clean and oiled, they will out last that new Weber. I would buy the heaviest gauge stainless steel flaverizer bars I could find, I think aftermarket 16 gauge on e-bay. What ever the parts cost new you want to sell, if you can get half the cost of retail you would be doing good. If you got it free you can't lose. I would get a ez-q basket rotisserie for it also, about $70 bucks on e-bay. Your mileage may vary.
