My first CL SCORE!

So I finally hit the jackpot! (I think...)

Picked up a 2008 Genesis E-310 NG for $95. The sucker has NEVER been used. The owner didn't want to end up putting in a NG line so it just sat.

So I grabbed it in a second. Now the only problem is ....... I don't have a NG line either.

I've read some threads on the cost to have a NG extended - and I'll admit I had some sticker shock to what I read. So I'm actually considering "converting" it to LP if I can find someplace that would sell the E-310 LP manifold - Weber CS really seems to be clamping down on selling parts if they dont match your serial # - and they won't sell the parts without the serial!!

I tried an authorized dealer - and they couldn't order the part either.

But at the end of the day I'm not complaining at all - just have some work and some decisions...

I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

Think if you were to take the manifold to a LPG dealer they could convert the valves to propane for a small sum. Years ago when I was in the LPG business we did that often, I see no difference now and then.

Cheers

Nice score. I got a Weber Genesis Silver B Premium NG last weekend for $75 but I also do not have an NG line. I have already converted it. I ordered a replacement LP manifold which I got yesterday and replace the NG manifold with the LP. I will keep the NG manifold because I am sure I will want to convert it back at some point. You need to figure out what part# you need though.

Thanks Sean - I'm giving them a call this morning.

They have manifolds for sale on their site by part number - i need 67611 - they have one "6761' which I'm hoping it the one I need and they just have a typo, but I'm calling to confirm.

Did you order straight through the site - or did you email them first?

I'm one happy guy.

My manifold came in yesterday and after 20 mins - My almost-brand new NG E-310 is now a brand new LP E-310.

Swapping out the parts was easy - now once I run a NG line I can switch back no problems. This was my first cook on PCI grates - but WOW - big improvement over PC-steel.

I'll upload pics asap. Sean - I owe you one
