My BBQ Guru DigiQ DX2 just died

I was in the middle of smoking some baby back ribs and I came out to check the DigiQ and when I pressed the "food" button to check the temp of my food every thing blanked out and it read a flashing 888. I tried going back to "pit" but it still read a flashing 888. I unplugged it and let it sit for a couple seconds and plugged it back in and still the same flashing 888, only this time the led was less bright. After unplugging it and plugging it back in several times, I no longer get any reading on my DigiQ.

Has any one else experienced this? If so, how did you fix it?
