Hi all

Since the weather has been really cold I needed to get my craving for bbq taken care of, I decided no cooking tonight. We went to Mighty Quinn's BBQ the clifton location. As far as I know they have a few locations but the one closest to me is clifton. Keep in mind that this location is in a huge strip mall that has very little parking therefore we wnt on a weeknight. Summers the parking is horrible why because there are way too many stores for the space along with a LA fitness.

Mighty Quinn's is a chain with most of the locations are in NYC.

Back to what's important....how was it....

I had the burnt end baked beans and the brisket. The beans were really good lots of flavor. I was really disappointed in the brisket. There was hardly any smoke ring. It was tender I'll give it that but it was absolutely tasteless. I had to put thier Barbeque sauce on it for flavor. By no means I am an expert on cooking bbq but when I say that my brisket tasted better and I've only made it twice. Do you think bc I'm a member of this forum I'm a bbq snob? 😄 lol

My husband had the sausage sandwich with fries he said it was good he is also willing to give it another try before we say never again.

I will give it another chance maybe with the pulled pork but you know that a place is good if they can bbq brisket.

A little about the ambiance...the place is newly constructed and very clean. Most of the crowd I was surprised were college kids. Alternative music playing in the backround which I don't mind at all.

Hope you enjoyed my review.

Once you have had real BBQ that you have made yourself its hard to like the franchise places. Each time that
I try one I remember what I told myself last time never again, make your own.
