Maverick 732 + Performer

I just got my Maverick and was already prepared to use it on my WSM since I had installed the grommets. The question now, is....if I want to use the Maverick with my performer, what is the best way to do this? My cables aren't long enough to go through the lid vents.

Easiest way is to put the probes in the meat and the grate and just close the lid on the probe cables and set the receiver on the Performer table. Will not hurt the cables. Or do like I did and install the threaded lamp rod to allow the probes through. Either way works fine. Good luck.

Thanks Bob, I really don't want to pinch the cables. On my WSM I installed grommets by enlarging a hole that was already there. On the Performer, did you just drill into it?
