I just got my 22.5 kettle a couple of weeks ago and I want to smoke a 7 lb. butt tomorrow. I smoked a chuck roast last week and made a ring of charcoal around the outside edge of the kettle and it lasted 7 hours at 250*
I am figuring this 7 lb. butt will take 11-14 hours, so my question is how do I put the Kingsford charcoal in for a long low, slow cook?
I may just put it in my gas smoker, but I really like the taste of the charcoal.
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.
