My son and I were at my meat market yesterday picking-up flank steak and sausages for dinner and my son saw a Smokey Joe for the fist time. He dragged me over to it and started to "sell me" on buying him one, how he could learn to grill on it. He could cook his own hamburgers and hot dogs etc. Loved it. Guess what will be under the tree this Christmas

And if he as kids sometimes do gets tired of it once the shine wears off Dad has a new toy to play with, it's a WIN WIN!

great idea ! keep an eye out for sales. make sure he understands its his, cooking and cleaning. and why can't he make his own mini smoker ?
