Lid lock

I'm trying to figure out the best way to attach the lid to the middle section so I can pull my 18.5 WSM behind me. All Ideas are welcome and appreciated.

Hmm. I wonder if you can make something like a SJP.
Some 1/4" Aluminum Round stock should be easy to bend and if you know someone with a conduit bender that should work. Set it up right with the bale support and you'll also have a built-in lid holder.

I wonder if you could adapt one of the "hoops" that are used to lock the lid onto 55-gallon drums?

If you are handy with a welder or know someone who is - you could probably lengthen or shorten one.

This should be relatively cheap and would be really secure.

This is how I use to do it. I'll take more photos with the updates I've done since then.

Your right Tim, I made a new leg to level it out.
As for the "Bands", they're Aluminum flat stock that I use to mount my Table and Slide-A-Side. It allows me to remove and store the lid without fear of knocking them loose from the lip. I did have issues a few times with my original set up.

This was how I use to mount them.
