Lang 60 Deluxe Stoker controlled....basket?

Hi everyone. Long time Stoker user on a Stumps smoker, and have purchased a Lang 60 Deluxe. Still have the Stoker and will start playing with it when I upgrade fan. Does anyone have any history of a Stoker on a Lang 60, and did you make some type of a charcoal basket, or just load up with a big bed of coals and add a couple of logs every hour or so. Thanks!!!!!

I have a horizon, and I use a basket. I can get about 8 hours of burn time at 225 degrees.
