Kofta Issues

Hi All,

As part of the 4th festivities I grilled kofta on skewers (ground lamb and seasonings molded on a 3/8 inch skewer about 4 inches long and 1 inch wide (like a sausage link).

I grilled them about and inch off the grill but they didn't stay together and fell apart off the skewer. I ended up just taking off the skeweres and grilling on grill (like lamb burgers) and they were very tasty>

Question to you enthusiasts: Are they any tricks to keeping the meat from falling apart when grilling on the skewer and not directly sitting on the grill?
