Just having fun refurbishing a Q1200 grill; a newby at grilling, hints and tips appreciated!

Kid's mother got a new "big Weber" after using a Q1200 (2014) for several years. The Q sat out, uncovered, and gas line disconnected from big tank for several months. I replaced the regulator (it probably was the hose from the tank that gunked up the regulator) and it fired right up with a little Coleman bottle. I cleaned the burner, which remains functional, but for $23.00 I had to have a shiny new burner! I'm just thrilled with how this small powerhouse works!
At $6.44 at Walmart for a two pack of the coleman 1lb tanks, I'm opting for the convenience of the small bottles.

It's the Titanium; cleaned up OK, the char marks (prominent on left, less so on the right) still there. I'm told they all char (the unevenness on mine probably the burner issue).
Thanks for responding!
