I think this Silver A has a pretty rare lid. Offered for free in Locus Grove, VA. Has anyone ever seen this custom logo lid? I wish I could get it but too busy with work this week. Looks pretty cool.

Val that is interesting! I have seen several different logos on lid. Some of us have listed all the ones we have seen that we can think of. Maybe somebody else here has seen this specific logo lid but I haven't. I only know of one logo lid that was a one off and that's @Steve Hoch 's grill that he had.

Josh, I might be able to get this one. It's far but I will be driving close by on a work trip Thursday. From your experience looking at the photo, do you think the lid is just really dirty or is it badly faded? I don't think I want to go for it if all of that grey is black fade. What do you think? Are there any experienced people on the forum that might know from the photos?

I would ask the seller to clean off the lid and take some more detailed pictures for you. I have done this multiple times and the seller most times is happy to help with more pictures. I explain that I restore grills and the lid needs to be perfect. If they have nothing to hide it shouldn't be an issue. It's almost impossible to tell on a dirty lid. It could go either way and I have seen that happy both ways.

All that said I would bet this area is fade.

If it isn't too far out of your way, I would still swing by and take a look. I had one that looked faded in pics, and when I got to it I could see the dirt was acting like fade. Sure enough, a little simple green revealed a fade free black beauty! I have also had the opposite happen (way more frequently, sadly).

What are the words above Redwood Creek?
