Wow. That could be very dangerous. I've seen people leave all kinds of stuff on their stovetop.

My friends German Shepherd turned a gas knob on the front of my gas range back in 2012-2013 - I pulled all the knobs & put them in the junk drawer.......they're in the same place today.

I need to check mine out. We have a Whirlpool one. Not sure the model.
We had to replace one of the oven elements this summer. It burned in 2!

My neighbors came running over 1-2 months ago, their element was burning up (burned in half and was on fire & melting). We found the breaker & turned it off.....not sure what they did, I stopped by just a minute ago but forgot to see what they did.
